FOUNDER
He graduated from Istanbul University Law Faculty and admitted to Istanbul Bar in 2015. He started as an associate in the ITC/TMT department of one of the top tier law firms in Istanbul representing global digital service companies and continued working at another top tier multinational law firm based in Istanbul working with similar clients in the same expertise areas prior to founding Doygun Attorneys-at-Law in 2021.

He advises local and foreign clients on various legal topics focusing on technology, data privacy, internet law, online crimes, telecommunications, and media law. His experience includes legal assistance on day-to-day operations of various digital service companies including multinational organizations and corporations along with special advisory roles regarding various projects and undertakings of such institutions. Previous clients include companies from technology, social media, e-commerce, energy, automotive, banking and finance industries.

DR. MELÄ°S AVÅžAR
OF COUNSEL
Assistant Professor Dr. Melis Avsar initiated her academic journey in 2014 as a research assistant at the Department of Private International Law, Faculty of Law, Istanbul University. She earned her master’s degree, focusing on the topic ‘Powers of the board of directors and legal remedies against board decisions in the registered capital system.’ During her doctoral studies, she had the opportunity to study at the Institut für internationales und ausländisches Privatrecht, Universitat zu Köln. In 2021, she attained the title of Doctor of Law with her dissertation titled ‘The will of parties in determining the international jurisdiction of courts’ and is currently engaged in postdoctoral research on ‘The right of direct action of the injured party in private international law.’
In 2022, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Istanbul University, where she currently teaches courses and pursues academic research in Private International Law, International Arbitration, Investment Arbitration, International Law of Contracts, Conflict of Laws Issues in Maritime Law, Jurisdiction Agreements, Citizenship Law, and Foreigners Law. She also teaches courses in Turkish-German University as a guest lecturer.
